Creamy Malai for Buns

1.In a saucepan, combine the heavy cream and milk over medium heat. Stir continuously until the mixture begins to simmer.

2.Add the sugar and continue stirring until it completely dissolves.

3.Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly.

4.Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the cardamom powder and vanilla extract.

5.Add the lemon juice to the mixture and stir well. This will help in curdling the cream slightly, giving it a rich texture.

6.Let the mixture cool down to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow it to set and thicken further.

7.Before serving, fold in the chopped nuts for added texture and flavor.
