Perfect Gulab Jamun Recipe

1.In a mixing bowl, combine milk powder, all-purpose flour, and baking soda.

2.Add ghee, milk, and yogurt to the dry ingredients. Knead into a soft dough. If the dough is too dry, add a little more milk.

3.Divide the dough into small equal-sized portions and shape them into smooth balls without any cracks.

4.In a separate saucepan, combine sugar and water. Stir over medium heat until the sugar dissolves. Add cardamom powder and a few drops of rose water (if using). Simmer for 5-7 minutes to form a slightly sticky syrup. Remove from heat.

5.Heat ghee in a deep frying pan over low-medium heat. Fry the dough balls in small batches until golden brown and evenly cooked. Drain excess ghee by placing them on a paper towel.

6.Immerse the fried balls in the warm sugar syrup. Let them soak for at least 2 hours to absorb the flavors.

7.Serve the gulab jamun garnished with saffron strands and chopped pistachios. Enjoy these delectable sweet treats!
