Grilled Salami and Cheese Sandwich

Preparation 1. Arrange the salami and cheese slices on a plate for easy access during sandwich assembly.

2.Wash and pat dry the lettuce leaves. Set aside.

3.Mix the mayonnaise and ketchup in a small bowl to create the spread for the sandwich.

Sandwich Assembly Butter one side of each bread slice with the butter.

5.Place a slice of bread, butter side down, on a clean work surface.

6.Spread a generous amount of the mayonnaise and ketchup mixture on the bread slice.

7.Layer the salami slices on the spread, followed by the cheese slices.

8.Top with another slice of bread, butter side up, to close the sandwich.

9.Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium heat.

10.Place the assembled sandwich in the pan and cook until golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes per side.

11.Remove the sandwich from the pan and let it rest for a minute before slicing diagonally.

12.Insert a lettuce leaf on each sandwich slice before serving to add a crisp and fresh texture.
