Grilled Salami and Cheese Sandwich

1Preparation 1. Arrange the salami and cheese slices (200 g) on a plate for easy access during sandwich assembly.

2Wash and pat dry the lettuce leaves (4). Set aside.

3Mix the mayonnaise (2 tablespoons) and ketchup (2 tablespoons) in a small bowl to create the spread for the sandwich.

4Sandwich Assembly Butter (2 tablespoons) one side of each bread slice with the butter (2 tablespoons).

5Place a slice of bread, butter (2 tablespoons) side down, on a clean work surface.

6Spread a generous amount of the mayonnaise (2 tablespoons) and ketchup (2 tablespoons) mixture on the bread slice.

7Layer the salami slices (200 g) on the spread, followed by the cheese slices (200 g).

8Top with another slice of bread, butter (2 tablespoons) side up, to close the sandwich.

9Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium heat.

10Place the assembled sandwich in the pan and cook until golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes per side.

11Remove the sandwich from the pan and let it rest for a minute before slicing diagonally.

12Insert a lettuce leaf on each sandwich slice before serving to add a crisp and fresh texture.
