Beer Battered Haddock

Preparing the Fish Pat the haddock fillets dry with paper towels. Cut the fillets into smaller pieces if desired. Season the fillets with a pinch of salt and pepper.

Making the Beer Batter In a mixing bowl, whisk together 1 cup flour, baking powder, salt, and black pepper. Slowly pour in the beer while whisking until you have a smooth batter. Let the batter sit for 10-15 minutes to rest.

3.Heat oil in a deep fryer or a large pot to 375°F (190°C).

Coating the Fish Dredge the haddock fillets in the 1/2 cup of flour, then dip them into the beer batter, coating the fish completely.
