Beesting Chex Mix

Preparation Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.

Mixing the Chex Mix In a large mixing bowl, combine the Rice Chex cereal, Corn Chex cereal, pretzel sticks, and sliced almonds.

Preparing the Beestings Topping In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Stir in the honey, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Cook until the mixture begins to bubble, then remove from heat.

Creating the Spice Mixture In a separate small bowl, stir together the ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and ground cloves to create the spice mixture.

Coating the Chex Mix Pour the beestings topping over the Chex mix and toss gently to coat evenly. Sprinkle the spice mixture over the Chex mix and toss again to distribute the flavors.

Baking the Chex Mix Spread the coated Chex mix in an even layer on the prepared baking sheet.

Baking Time Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes to ensure even baking.

Cooling Remove from the oven and let the Beesting Chex Mix cool completely on the baking sheet. As it cools, it will become crisp and crunchy.

Storage Once cooled, transfer the Beesting Chex Mix to an airtight container or individual snack bags for storage.
