Homemade Salami Sandwich

Preparing the Salami Marinade In a small bowl, mix red wine vinegar, minced garlic, dried oregano, red pepper flakes, paprika, cayenne pepper, and black pepper to create the salami marinade.

Marinating the Salami Place the sliced salami in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over it. Make sure the salami is well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to marinate and enhance the flavors.

Cooking the Salami Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the marinated salami slices and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until slightly crispy and heated through. Remove from heat and set aside.

Preparing the Bread Spread mayonnaise on one side of each slice of sourdough bread. On the other side, spread whole grain mustard.

Assembling the Sandwich Layer provolone cheese, marinated and cooked salami slices, sliced black olives, arugula leaves, and red onions on two slices of bread. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
