Smoked Sausage Shrimp Fettuccine with Parmesan Cheese

Ingredient Preparation Prepare the ingredients by slicing the smoked sausage, peeling and deveining the shrimp, mincing the garlic, grating the Parmesan cheese, and chopping the parsley.

Cooking the Pasta In a large pot, bring water to a boil for the pasta. Season the water with salt and cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain the pasta, toss with olive oil to prevent sticking, and set aside.

Cooking the Sausage and Shrimp In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced smoked sausage and cook until lightly browned, about 5 minutes. Add the seasoned shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove the sausage and shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

Making the Parmesan Cream Sauce In the same skillet, add butter and garlic. Saute until fragrant, about 1 minute. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Combining the Sauce with Sausage and Shrimp Add the cooked sausage and shrimp back to the skillet. Stir in paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, black pepper, lemon juice, and chopped parsley. Toss until well combined and heated through.

Plating and Serving Serve the smoked sausage and shrimp mixture over the cooked fettuccine. Garnish with additional Parmesan cheese and parsley before serving.
