Easy Chocolate Cake in the Bread Machine

1Ensure your bread machine's baking pan is clean and insert it according to the manufacturer's instructions.

2In a large mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, eggs (3), vegetable oil (⅓ cup), and water (1 cup). Mix well until you have a smooth batter.

3If using, stir in the chocolate chips gently.

4Pour the batter into the bread machine's baking pan.

5Select the 'Cake' setting on your bread machine. If your bread machine does not have a cake setting, choose the 'Bake Only' setting and set the timer according to the cake mix instructions, usually around 50-60 minutes.

6Start the bread machine and let it mix, bake, and do its magic.

7Once the baking cycle is complete, carefully remove the baking pan from the machine using oven mitts to avoid burns.

8Let the cake cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.

9Dust the top of the cake with unsweetened cocoa powder (2 tablespoons) for a refined finish.

10Serve the chocolate cake warm or at room temperature, as preferred.
