Classic Homemade Pizza

Prepare the Pizza Dough In a mixing bowl, combine the warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy. Add the olive oil and flour to the yeast mixture. Mix until the dough comes together. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.

Prepare the Pizza Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) and place a pizza stone or baking sheet in the oven. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness. Spread the pizza sauce over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce. Add your favorite toppings on top of the cheese. Transfer the pizza to the preheated pizza stone or baking sheet. Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly. Slice the pizza and serve hot.
