Pretty in Pink Cookies

1.Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2.In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.

3.In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

4.Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture, and beat until well combined.

5.Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.

6.Add a few drops of pink food coloring to the dough and mix until the color is evenly distributed.

7.Using a cookie scoop or spoon, portion out the dough into balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

8.Flatten each cookie slightly with the palm of your hand.

9.Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers are still soft.

10.Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
