Fruitful Rice Delight

1Rinse 1 cup of rice (1 cup) in a fine-mesh strainer under cold water until the water runs clear. Drain well.

2Peel and chop 2 apples (2) into small chunks, discarding the core and seeds.

3Peel and slice 2 bananas (2) into rounds.

4In a medium pot, combine the rinsed rice (1 cup) with 2 cups of water and bring to a boil over high heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the rice (1 cup) is tender and the water is absorbed.

5In a separate pan, heat a little oil over medium heat. Add the chopped apples (2) and bananas (2), and sauté for about 5 minutes until they soften slightly.

6Once the rice (1 cup) is cooked, gently fold in the sautéed apples (2) and bananas (2). Stir well to combine all the ingredients.

7Simmer the mixture for another 5 minutes on low heat to allow the flavors to blend together.

8Remove from heat and let it sit covered for a few minutes before serving.

9Serve the Fruitful Rice (1 cup) Delight warm as a delicious and nutritious meal or dessert.
