Salty Pretzel Bites

1.In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.

2.Add flour and knead the dough until smooth and elastic. Let it rise for 1 hour.

3.Preheat the oven to 450°F (232°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

4.Divide the dough into small pieces and roll each piece into a rope. Cut into bite-sized pieces.

5.In a large pot, bring water and baking soda to a boil. Boil the pretzel bites in batches for 30 seconds, then remove with a slotted spoon and place on the baking sheet.

6.Brush the pretzel bites with beaten egg and sprinkle with coarse salt.

7.Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Serve warm and enjoy!
