Ultimate Celebration Cake

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Add eggs (4) one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract (1 tablespoon).

In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder (2 teaspoons), and baking soda (½ teaspoon). Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk. Fold in the rainbow sprinkles (½ cup).

Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the cakes to cool completely.

In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream (1 cup) until just simmering. Remove from heat and stir in the chocolate chips (1 cup) until smooth. Let the chocolate ganache cool to room temperature.

Once the cakes are cooled, carefully remove them from the pans. Place one cake layer on a serving plate and spread a layer of chocolate ganache on top. Place the second cake layer on top and cover the entire cake with the remaining ganache. Chill the cake in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to set the ganache.

Dust the top of the cake with confectioners' sugar (½ cup) and decorate with fresh berries before serving.

Enjoy the ultimate celebration cake with your loved ones!
