Spiced Mince Meat with Chapati

1Add the whole wheat flour (2 cups) and salt for chapati in a large mixing bowl. Gradually add water (½ cup) and knead to form a smooth dough. Cover and let it rest for 15-20 minutes.

2In the Thermomix bowl, add the onions, garlic, and ginger. Chop for 5 seconds on speed 5.

3Scrape down the sides of the bowl, add the vegetable oil (2 tbsp), and sauté for 5 minutes at 100°C on speed 1.

4Add the chopped tomatoes (2), cumin powder (1 tsp), coriander powder (1 tsp), turmeric powder (½ tsp), garam masala (½ tsp), red chili powder (½ tsp), and salt to the Thermomix bowl. Cook for 5 minutes at 100°C on speed 1.

5Add the mince meat (500 g) to the Thermomix bowl. Cook for 10 minutes at 100°C on reverse, speed 1.

6Add 1/2 cup of water (½ cup), cover the Thermomix bowl with a lid, and cook for an additional 5 minutes at 100°C on reverse, speed 1.

7While the mince meat (500 g) is cooking, divide the chapati dough into equal portions and roll them into balls. Dust each ball with flour and roll them out into thin discs.

8Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Cook each chapati for about 1-2 minutes on each side until golden brown spots appear. Remove from heat and keep them warm in a cloth.

9Once the mince meat (500 g) is cooked, serve it hot alongside the freshly made chapati.
