Savory Soy Spaghetti with Tomato Sauce

1Fill a large pot with water, add a pinch of salt, and bring it to a boil over high heat.

2Add the spaghetti to the boiling water and cook until al dente according to the package instructions. Drain the spaghetti and set it aside.

3In a separate pan, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium heat.

4Add diced onions and sliced bell peppers to the pan. Sauté them until they are soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.

5Stir in the canned tomato paste and cook for another 2 minutes to develop the flavors.

6Season the vegetable mixture with oregano, chilli flakes, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine all the flavors.

7Pour in a splash of water to loosen the sauce and let it simmer for 5-7 minutes until it thickens slightly.

8Reduce the heat to low and add soy sauce to the sauce. Stir well to incorporate the soy flavor into the dish.

9Add the cooked spaghetti to the pan with the sauce. Toss everything together until the spaghetti is evenly coated with the sauce and vegetables.

10Serve the savory soy spaghetti with tomato sauce hot, garnished with a sprinkle of fresh herbs or grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
