Christmas Rosette Cookies

1.In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, and salt.

2.In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until well combined.

3.Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, whisking until smooth and no lumps remain.

4.Heat oil in a deep fryer or heavy-bottomed pot to 375°F (190°C).

5.Dip the rosette iron into the hot oil for a few seconds to heat it up.

6.Dip the hot iron into the batter, making sure not to cover the top of the iron.

7.Immediately dip the iron into the hot oil and fry until the edges of the cookie are golden brown, about 30 seconds.

8.Carefully remove the cookie from the iron using a fork and place it on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

9.Repeat the process with the remaining batter, reheating the iron in the oil as needed.

10.Once the cookies have cooled slightly, dust them generously with powdered sugar before serving.
