Homemade Classic Pizza

1In a bowl, combine warm water (1½ cups), yeast, and sugar (2 tsp). Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.

2Add olive oil (2 tsp), garlic powder (1 tsp), onion powder (1 tsp), oregano, basil, thyme, rosemary, salt (½ tsp), and black pepper (¼ tsp) to the yeast mixture.

3Gradually mix in the flour until a dough forms. Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

4Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.

5Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C) and place a pizza stone or baking sheet in the oven to heat up.

6Punch down the dough and divide it into two equal portions. Roll out each portion into a round pizza crust on a floured surface.

7Spread pizza sauce (1 cup) over the crusts and top with shredded mozzarella cheese (2 cups) and your favorite toppings.

8Carefully transfer the pizzas onto the preheated pizza stone or baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and melted.

9Remove from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, slice, and serve hot.
