Christmas Green Gram Jaggery Balls

1Wash and soak the green gram (moong dal) (1 cup) in water for 2 hours.

2Drain the soaked green gram (1 cup) and grind it into a coarse paste without adding water.

3In a pan, heat ghee (¼ cup) and add the ground green gram (1 cup) paste.

4Cook the green gram (1 cup) paste on low heat until it thickens and leaves the sides of the pan.

5Add jaggery (1 cup), grated coconut (½ cup), cardamom powder (½ tsp), chopped nuts (¼ cup), and raisins (¼ cup) to the cooked green gram (1 cup) paste.

6Mix well and cook the mixture until it forms a thick dough-like consistency.

7Remove the mixture from heat and allow it to cool slightly.

8Grease your hands with ghee (¼ cup) and shape the mixture into small balls.

9Place the balls on a plate and let them cool completely before serving.

10Your Christmas Green Gram (1 cup) Jaggery (1 cup) Balls are ready to be enjoyed!
