Creamy Milk Pudding

1In a saucepan, combine 2 cups of milk (2 cups) and 1/2 cup of sugar (½ cup) over medium heat.

2Stir the mixture continuously until the sugar (½ cup) is completely dissolved and the milk (2 cups) is heated through.

3Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, but do not boil, stirring occasionally to prevent scorching.

4Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for about 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens to a pudding-like consistency.

5Remove the saucepan from heat and let the pudding cool slightly before serving.

6Serve the creamy milk (2 cups) pudding warm or chilled, garnished with a sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg if desired.
