Marinara Chicken Spaghetti

1Cook the spaghetti (8 oz) according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

2Season the chicken breasts (2) with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, heat some oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts (2) and cook until browned and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

3In the same skillet, add a bit more oil if needed. Saute the garlic (2 cloves) and onion (1) until softened and fragrant.

4Add the red pepper flakes (½ tsp), dried oregano (½ tsp), dried basil (½ tsp), and dried thyme (½ tsp). Stir well to combine with the garlic (2 cloves) and onion (1).

5Pour in the marinara sauce (2 cups) and sugar (½ tsp). Bring to a simmer.

6Slice the cooked chicken breasts (2) into strips and add them back to the skillet. Stir to coat the chicken in the marinara sauce (2 cups).

7Add the cooked spaghetti (8 oz) to the skillet and toss to combine with the sauce and chicken.

8Sprinkle Parmesan cheese, fresh basil, and fresh parsley over the spaghetti (8 oz). Toss again to mix everything together well.

9Serve the Marinara Chicken Spaghetti (8 oz) hot, garnished with extra Parmesan cheese and fresh herbs if desired.
