Banana Rum Delight

1.Peel and slice the ripe bananas into a large glass jar.

2.Add the sugar to the jar with the bananas.

3.Split the vanilla bean and scrape out the seeds. Add the seeds and the bean to the jar.

4.Zest the lemon and add the zest to the jar.

5.Squeeze the lemon juice into the jar.

6.Pour the rum over the ingredients in the jar.

7.Seal the jar tightly and shake well to mix all the ingredients thoroughly.

8.Store the jar in a cool, dark place for at least 2 weeks, shaking it gently every few days to infuse the flavors.

9.After 2 weeks, strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth to remove the solids.

10.Transfer the banana rum to a clean bottle or container for storage.

11.Serve the banana rum chilled or use it in cocktails for a delightful tropical twist!
