Vegan Chewy Cookies with Crunchy Outside

1.Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2.In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and baking powder until well combined.

3.In a separate bowl, cream the vegan butter substitute, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

4.Add the vanilla extract and unsweetened applesauce to the wet ingredients and mix well.

5.Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.

6.Fold in the dairy-free chocolate chips.

7.Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.

8.Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set but still soft.

9.Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
