Moist and Fluffy Vanilla Cake

1Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.

2In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

3Add the eggs (4 large) one at a time, beating well after each addition.

4Stir in the vanilla extract (2 teaspoons).

5In a separate bowl, combine the flour and baking powder (1 tablespoon).

6Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk (1 cup).

7Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans.

8Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

9Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

10Once cooled, frost the cakes with your favorite frosting and enjoy!
