Rich and Savory Simple Gravy

1In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat until it is bubbly and slightly golden.

2Add the flour to the melted butter, whisking continuously for about 2 minutes to create a roux. The mixture should turn a light golden color.

3Gradually pour in the chicken or beef broth (2 cups) while whisking to prevent lumps from forming. Continue to whisk until the mixture is smooth and begins to thicken, about 3-5 minutes.

4Stir in the onion powder (1 teaspoon), garlic powder (1 teaspoon), and Worcestershire sauce (1 teaspoon). Mix well to combine all the flavors.

5Season the gravy with salt and pepper to taste, adjusting as necessary based on your preference.

6Allow the gravy to simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it reaches your desired thickness.

7Remove from heat and serve hot over your favorite dishes such as mashed potatoes, meatloaf, or roasted meats.
