Savory Sesame Salt Sticks

1In a large mixing bowl, combine the wheat flour (1 cup), all-purpose flour (1 cup), rava, corn flour (¼ cup), baking powder (1 teaspoon), baking soda (½ teaspoon), and salt (1 teaspoon). Mix well to ensure all dry ingredients are evenly distributed.

2Add the paprika (1 teaspoon), garlic powder (1 teaspoon), onion powder (1 teaspoon), and cumin powder (½ teaspoon) to the dry mixture. Stir until the spices are well incorporated.

3In a separate bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar (1 tablespoon) together until light and fluffy. This should take about 2-3 minutes using a hand mixer or whisk.

4Gradually add the milk (½ cup) to the butter mixture, mixing until smooth and well combined.

5Slowly pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring continuously until a dough forms. If the dough is too sticky, add a little more flour until it reaches a workable consistency.

6Once the dough is formed, knead it on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.

7Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

8Divide the dough into small portions and roll each portion into thin sticks, about 1/4 inch thick and 4-5 inches long. Place the sticks on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each stick.

9Sprinkle sesame seeds (¼ cup) generously over the top of each stick, pressing them lightly into the dough to ensure they stick during baking.

10Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the sticks are golden brown and crispy.

11Remove from the oven and let them cool on a wire rack before serving.
