Decadent Chocolate Pancakes

1In a mixing bowl, combine the cocoa powder (1 cup), maida, and sugar (½ cup). Mix well until all dry ingredients are evenly distributed.

2In a separate bowl, beat the egg (1 large) and then add the water (1 cup). Mix until well combined.

3Gradually pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring continuously to avoid lumps. Mix until you have a smooth batter.

4Heat a non-stick pan on medium heat on the gas stove. You can lightly grease the pan with oil if desired.

5Pour a ladleful of the batter onto the hot pan, forming a round pancake. Cook for about 2-3 minutes or until bubbles form on the surface.

6Flip the pancake and cook for another 2-3 minutes on the other side until it is cooked through and has a nice chocolate color.

7Repeat the process with the remaining batter, adjusting the heat as necessary to prevent burning.

8Serve the pancakes warm, optionally topped with syrup, whipped cream, or fresh fruits.
