Sweet Cornmeal Pumpkin Cake

1.Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.

2.In a large mixing bowl, combine the cornmeal, all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and salt. Mix well until all dry ingredients are evenly distributed.

3.In another bowl, whisk together the pumpkin puree, milk, melted butter, and eggs until smooth and well combined.

4.Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.

5.Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly with a spatula.

6.Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

7.Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
