Decadent Chocolate Mug Cake

1.In a microwave-safe mug, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Mix well until all dry ingredients are evenly distributed.

2.Add the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients in the mug. Stir until the mixture is smooth and there are no lumps.

3.If desired, fold in the chocolate chips for an extra chocolatey flavor.

4.Microwave the mug on high for 1 minute and 30 seconds. Check for doneness; if the cake is still wet in the center, microwave in 15-second intervals until fully cooked. Be careful not to overcook, as the cake will continue to cook slightly after being removed from the microwave.

5.Let the mug cake cool for a minute before enjoying it directly from the mug.
