Decadent Oreo Truffles with Creamy Chocolate Coating

1.Crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or by placing them in a zip-top bag and crushing them with a rolling pin.

2.In a large mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreo cookies and softened cream cheese. Mix until well combined and a dough-like consistency forms.

3.Using your hands, roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

4.Once all the mixture is rolled into balls, place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to allow the truffles to firm up.

5.While the truffles are chilling, melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips and vegetable oil together in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.

6.Remove the truffles from the refrigerator. Dip each truffle into the melted chocolate, using a fork to help coat them evenly. Allow any excess chocolate to drip off before placing them back on the parchment-lined baking sheet.

7.While the chocolate coating is still wet, sprinkle the crushed Oreo cookies on top of each truffle for garnish.

8.Once all the truffles are coated and garnished, place the baking sheet back in the refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes, or until the chocolate has set completely.
