Fluffy Homemade Burger Buns

1.In a large mixing bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.

2.Add melted butter, egg, and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix well until combined.

3.Gradually add flour, one cup at a time, mixing until a soft dough forms.

4.Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

5.Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1-2 hours or until doubled in size.

6.Once risen, punch down the dough and divide it into 8 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a ball and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

7.Cover the shaped buns with a cloth and let them rise for another 30-45 minutes until puffy.

8.Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

9.Brush the tops of the buns with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.

10.Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

11.Remove from the oven and let cool on a wire rack before slicing.
