Savory Chicken Yakisoba with a Sweet Niroshimi Twist

1.Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

2.Add the sliced chicken breasts to the skillet and season with salt and pepper. Stir-fry until the chicken is cooked through and lightly browned, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

3.In the same skillet, add the sliced onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are slightly softened.

4.Add the shredded cabbage to the skillet and continue to stir-fry for another 2 minutes until the cabbage wilts.

5.While the vegetables are cooking, prepare the yakisoba noodles according to the package instructions, usually by boiling them for a few minutes until tender. Drain and set aside.

6.Return the cooked chicken to the skillet with the vegetables. Add the cooked yakisoba noodles, soy sauce, oyster sauce, mirin, and the finely chopped niroshimi candy. Toss everything together until well combined and heated through, about 2-3 minutes.

7.Taste and adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper if needed.

8.Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.
