Cheesy Sausage and Veggie Bake with a Creamy Sauce

1.Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

2.In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and garlic, sautéing until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

3.Add the Italian sausage to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.

4.Stir in the diced bell peppers, zucchini, broccoli, and cherry tomatoes. Cook for an additional 5 minutes until the vegetables are slightly tender. Season with oregano, basil, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat.

5.In a separate bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, chicken broth, and flour until smooth. Pour this mixture into the skillet with the sausage and veggies, stirring to combine.

6.Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the top.

7.Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
