Garlic Parmesan Chicken with Creamy Herb Sauce

1Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

2In a shallow dish, combine the grated Parmesan cheese (1 cup), garlic powder (1 teaspoon), onion powder (1 teaspoon), dried Italian herbs (1 teaspoon), paprika (½ teaspoon), salt (½ teaspoon), and black pepper (¼ teaspoon).

3Coat each chicken breast in the Parmesan mixture, pressing down to ensure the coating sticks well.

4In a large oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil (2 tablespoons) over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the coated chicken breasts and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.

5Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).

6While the chicken is baking, prepare the creamy herb sauce. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, add the minced garlic (4 cloves) and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

7Pour in the heavy cream (1 cup) and chicken broth (¼ cup), stirring to combine. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.

8Add the chopped parsley, basil, and thyme to the sauce, stirring well. Allow the sauce to simmer for about 5-7 minutes until it thickens slightly. Season with salt (½ teaspoon) and pepper to taste.

9Once the chicken is done baking, remove it from the oven and drizzle the creamy herb sauce over the top before serving.
