Sweet Vanilla Glazed Baked Donuts

1.Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan with non-stick spray.

2.In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.

3.In another bowl, mix the buttermilk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.

4.Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently fold until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.

5.Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.

6.Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the donuts are lightly golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

7.Remove the donuts from the oven and let them cool in the pan for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

8.While the donuts are cooling, prepare the vanilla glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a small bowl until smooth and pourable.

9.Once the donuts are completely cool, dip the tops of each donut into the glaze, allowing any excess to drip off.

10.Place the glazed donuts back on the wire rack to let the glaze set for a few minutes before serving.
