Sweet Cheese Balls with Honey and Nuts

1.In a large mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Mix until smooth and well combined.

2.Chill the cheese mixture in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to make it easier to handle.

3.Once chilled, take small portions of the mixture and roll them into balls, about the size of a golf ball.

4.In a separate bowl, beat the egg. In another bowl, place the all-purpose flour, and in a third bowl, place the breadcrumbs.

5.Dip each cheese ball first into the flour, then into the beaten egg, and finally coat it with breadcrumbs, ensuring they are fully covered.

6.Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, carefully add the cheese balls in batches, frying until golden brown on all sides, about 3-4 minutes per batch.

7.Remove the cheese balls from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

8.Drizzle the warm cheese balls with honey and sprinkle with crushed nuts before serving.
