Banana Leaf Wrapped Chocolate Banana Delight

1.Prepare the banana leaves by cutting them into large squares, about 12 inches in size. Pass them over an open flame or dip them in hot water for a few seconds to make them pliable.

2.Peel the ripe bananas and slice them lengthwise down the middle, leaving the peel on one side to hold them together.

3.In a bowl, mix the chopped Hershey's chocolate with shredded coconut and chopped nuts if using. Add honey and a pinch of salt to enhance the flavor.

4.Place a banana leaf square on a clean surface. Lay one banana in the center of the leaf, cut side up. Spoon the chocolate mixture generously over the banana.

5.Fold the banana leaf over the banana and chocolate mixture to create a neat package. Secure it with kitchen twine or toothpicks if necessary. Repeat with the remaining bananas and chocolate mixture.

6.Set up a steamer pot with water and bring it to a boil. Place the wrapped banana packages in the steamer basket, making sure they are not overcrowded.

7.Cover the pot and steam the banana packages for about 15-20 minutes, or until the bananas are soft and the chocolate has melted.

8.Carefully remove the packages from the steamer and let them cool for a few minutes before unwrapping.

9.Serve warm, drizzled with extra honey if desired, and enjoy your tropical treat!
