Creamy Garlic Parmesan Chicken Skillet

1Heat the olive oil (1 tablespoon) in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

2Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.

3Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

4In the same skillet, add the minced garlic (4 cloves) and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

5Pour in the heavy cream (1 cup) and bring it to a gentle simmer, stirring frequently.

6Add the grated Parmesan cheese (1 cup), Italian seasoning (1 teaspoon), and red pepper flakes (½ teaspoon) to the skillet. Stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy.

7If using, add the baby spinach (1 cup) to the sauce and cook until wilted, about 1-2 minutes.

8Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet and coat them in the creamy sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through.

9Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
