Gourmet Meatballs in a Rich Mushroom Sauce

1.In a large bowl, mix together ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and egg until well combined.

2.Form the mixture into meatballs.

3.Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and brown the meatballs on all sides. Remove and set aside.

4.In the same skillet, melt butter and add mushrooms and onion. Cook until softened.

5.Sprinkle flour over the mushrooms and onions, stir to combine, and cook for 1-2 minutes.

6.Gradually add beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens.

7.Return the meatballs to the skillet, cover, and simmer on low heat for 10 minutes, or until meatballs are cooked through.

8.Season the gravy with salt and pepper to taste.
