Savory Egg and Noodle Casserole

1.Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

2.In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the egg noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

3.In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, sautéing until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

4.Add the ground meat to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, oregano, and paprika. If desired, sprinkle flour over the meat mixture and stir to combine, cooking for an additional minute to thicken.

5.In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and heavy cream until well combined. Stir in the cooked egg noodles and the meat mixture until everything is evenly coated.

6.Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Spread it out evenly.

7.Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the top of the casserole.

8.Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the casserole is set and the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

9.Remove from the oven and let it cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
