Classic Grilled Cheddar Sandwich

1.Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat.

2.Spread about 1 tablespoon of softened butter evenly on one side of each slice of bread.

3.Place two slices of bread, buttered side down, onto the skillet.

4.Evenly distribute the cheddar cheese on top of the bread in the skillet.

5.Optionally, sprinkle a pinch of salt and freshly ground black pepper over the cheese to enhance flavor.

6.Top the cheese with the remaining slices of bread, buttered side up, forming two sandwiches.

7.Cook for 3-4 minutes until the bottom bread is golden brown and crispy. Carefully flip the sandwiches using a spatula.

8.Cook the other side for another 3-4 minutes until golden brown and the cheddar cheese is fully melted.

9.Remove the sandwiches from the skillet and let them rest for 1 minute before slicing.

10.Cut each sandwich diagonally and serve warm for the best melty, crispy experience.
