Simple Chocolate Syrup Cookies

1.Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.

2.In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

3.Add the chocolate syrup, vegetable oil (or melted butter), milk, and vanilla extract (if using) to the dry ingredients.

4.Stir the mixture gently with a spoon or spatula until a soft, slightly sticky dough forms. Avoid overmixing to keep cookies tender.

5.Using a tablespoon or cookie scoop, drop rounded spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

6.Flatten each dough ball slightly with the back of a spoon or your fingers to form a cookie shape, as these cookies will not spread much during baking.
