Classic Fluffy Milk Bread Pudding

1Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.

2Cut the bread into roughly 1-inch cubes and place them in a large mixing bowl.

3In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs (4 large), sugar, ground cinnamon (1 teaspoon), vanilla extract (1 teaspoon), and salt (¼ teaspoon) until well combined.

4Warm the milk gently in a saucepan over low heat until just warm to the touch (do not boil).

5Slowly pour the warm milk into the egg mixture, whisking continuously to prevent the eggs (4 large) from scrambling.

6Pour the milk and egg mixture over the cubed bread. Gently fold the mixture with a spatula to ensure all bread cubes are soaked evenly. Let it sit for 15 minutes to allow the bread to absorb the custard fully.

7Transfer the soaked bread mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly.

8Drizzle the melted butter over the top of the bread pudding to add richness and promote browning.

9Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.

10Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving. Optionally, dust with powdered sugar and garnish with fresh berries or whipped cream for an elegant presentation.
