Talking Toilet Chocolate Cookies

1.Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

2.In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

3.Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract and mix until combined.

4.In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.

5.Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing just until combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.

6.Scoop 2-tablespoon portions of dough and roll into balls. Flatten each ball slightly and shape into a rounded rectangle (to mimic a toilet base) on the baking sheet, spacing cookies about 2 inches apart.

7.Bake for 10-12 minutes, until edges are set but centers are still soft. Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

8.While cookies cool, cut each marshmallow in half crosswise. These will be the toilet lids.

9.Make the glaze: In a small bowl, whisk powdered sugar with 2 tablespoons milk, adding more milk as needed to reach a thick but spreadable consistency. Divide glaze into two bowls; tint one with blue gel coloring for water, leave the other white.

10.Once cookies are cool, use a spoon to spread a small oval of white glaze on the upper third of each cookie (to form the toilet bowl). Add a smaller oval of blue glaze inside the white for water.

11.Place a marshmallow half upright at the back of each cookie to form the toilet lid. Use a dab of glaze to secure if needed.

12.Attach two mini candy eyes above the blue glaze using a bit of white glaze as glue. Draw a mouth below the eyes with the black edible marker to make the toilet 'talk.'

13.Optional: Use white fondant to create a handle or extra details, attaching with a dab of glaze.

14.Let cookies set for 30 minutes before serving to allow decorations to firm up.
