Colorful Strawberry Parfait

1.Chill a mixing bowl and beaters in the refrigerator for 10 minutes to ensure the cream whips properly.

2.Pour the chilled heavy whipping cream into the cold bowl. Add granulated sugar and vanilla extract.

3.Whip the cream on medium-high speed until soft peaks form.

4.Divide the whipped cream evenly into two separate bowls.

5.Add 3 drops of red food coloring to one bowl and gently fold until the color is evenly distributed. In the other bowl, add 3 drops of pink food coloring and fold gently to combine.

6.Prepare four clear serving glasses or parfait cups.

7.Begin layering each parfait by spooning 1 tablespoon of strawberry syrup into the bottom of each glass.

8.Add a layer of red whipped cream over the syrup, smoothing gently with the back of a spoon.

9.Add a few slices of fresh strawberries on top of the red whipped cream layer.

10.Next, spoon 1 tablespoon of strawberry syrup over the strawberries.

11.Add a layer of pink whipped cream over the syrup, smoothing gently.

12.Repeat layering with remaining strawberry slices and a final drizzle of strawberry syrup if desired.

13.Garnish each parfait with a fresh mint leaf on top for a pop of green color and freshness (optional).

14.Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 2 hours before serving for best texture.
