Toriel's Poisoned (Fake don't worry) Pie

Pastry In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour (2 cups) and salt (½ teaspoon) for the pastry.

Pastry Add the cold butter pieces to the flour mixture. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to cut the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Pastry Gradually add the ice water (¼ cup) to the flour and butter mixture. Stir gently until the dough comes together.

Pastry Shape the dough into a disk and wrap it in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

Filling Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Filling In a large bowl, mix together the chopped apples (2 cups), granulated sugar (½ cup), cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice (2 tablespoons), and flour for the filling.

Assembly Roll out the chilled dough on a lightly floured surface to fit a 9-inch pie dish. Place the crust in the dish and trim any excess.

Assembly Pour the apple filling into the pie crust.

Assembly Cut out shapes from the remaining pie crust dough to create a spooky design on top. Place the shapes on the filling.

Baking Bake the pie in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.

Decoration While the pie is baking, prepare the decoration glaze by mixing together powdered sugar (½ cup) and milk (1 tablespoon) until smooth. Divide the glaze into three bowls.
