Italian Continental Roll

1.In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt. Create a well in the center and add the olive oil and warm water. Mix until the dough comes together.

2.Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes, or until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rest for 1 hour.

Preparation Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

4.Punch down the dough to release any air bubbles. Roll out the dough into a rectangular shape, about 1/4 inch (0.6 cm) thick.

5.Layer the ham, salami, provolone cheese, black olives, green olives, bell peppers, red onions, tomatoes, basil, and mozzarella cheese evenly over the dough.

6.Starting from one of the longer edges, roll the dough tightly into a log shape. Pinch the ends and seams to seal the roll.

7.Place the roll seam side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the melted butter over the top of the roll. Sprinkle the garlic powder, dried oregano, and dried basil evenly over the top.

Baking Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the roll is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Serving Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Slice the roll into pieces and serve warm.
