Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies

Preparation Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

1. Creaming the Butter and Sugars In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

2. Adding Eggs and Vanilla Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.

3. Mixing Dry Ingredients In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until well combined.

4. Adding Chocolate Chips Stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the cookie dough.

5. Forming Cookies Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie. If desired, press a few additional chocolate chips onto the tops of the dough for extra decoration.

6. Baking Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden but the centers are still soft. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
