Marinating the Chicken In a bowl, mix ginger paste, garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, yogurt, and salt. Add the chicken thighs and marinate for at least 1 hour.

Preparing the Sauce In a pot, melt butter and sauté the chopped onion until golden brown. Add ginger paste, garlic paste, and cook until fragrant. Stir in the pureed tomatoes, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and cook until the oil separates.

Cooking the Chicken in Sauce Add the marinated chicken to the sauce and cook until the chicken is tender and cooked through. Stir in heavy cream, water, and simmer for a few minutes.

Cooking the Rice In a separate pot, bring water to a boil and add salt and cumin seeds. Add the basmati rice and cook until tender. Drain the excess water.

Garnishing the Dish Garnish the Wishee Washee with fresh cilantro leaves, sliced almonds, and serve with lemon wedges.
