Strawberry Blueberry Parfait

1.In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced strawberries and blueberries with the granulated sugar. Gently toss to coat the fruit evenly and allow it to sit for about 10 minutes to macerate, releasing their natural juices.

2.In a separate bowl, whisk together the whole milk, heavy cream, and vanilla extract until well combined and slightly thickened. This will create a creamy layer for the parfait.

3.Once the fruit has macerated, start assembling the parfaits. In clear glasses or dessert cups, layer a spoonful of the creamy milk mixture at the bottom.

4.Add a layer of the macerated strawberries and blueberries on top of the cream, followed by another layer of the cream mixture. Repeat the layers until the glasses are filled, finishing with a layer of fruit on top.

5.If desired, sprinkle granola on the very top for added crunch and texture. Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 1 hour before serving.
